Andon Acres - Gordon Murray-John

Maynard, IA

Andon Acres is named after my wife's home town of Ann Arbor, MI and my home town of Swindon, Wiltshire, UK. We bought the 18 acre farm in 1977. It has 14 tillable acres, with about 1.25 acres now devoted to vegetable production.

We had a flower and veggie garden until partial retirement last year, then we expanded the veggie garden for the Oelwein, and Fayette farmers' markets.

We are expanding for the 2011 and 2012 season and increasing GROWN Locally participation to approximately 1.25 acres.
