Our farm has been family owned since 1884. In 2006, the farm was converted from crop and livestock to hardwood trees and native prairie. Approximately two acres have been set aside for gardening. The past three years have been devoted to raising mostly heirloom vegetables and the establishment of a flock of heritage turkeys. The vegetables are naturally grown with no pesticides, herbicides, or insectisides. Instead, integrated pest management is utilized. Farm produce specialties are tomatoes, peppers, green and dried beans, and up to nine pound cabbages. The turkeys are a Narrangansett, Bronze, and Bourbon Red mix. The turkeys make wonderfully tasting meat for Thanksgiving or anytime of year. The poultry free range in the warmer months of the year. Also available is fresh homemade Italian hard bread.
